Because you need help. I don't know who this is, but it's not who it claims to be. Stop this.

Well most alcoholics are not morons, in fact they are usually very smart, and very creative people. Don't be to hard on your self, give your self a break. If you ethnic back round has a history of alcoholism at least you are aware and can do something about it, but it would be one part to this equation. This answer won't be a quick fix and I would suggest getting support else where as well. Figure out why you might drink, even if it is when you are happy and talk your self down before you take that drink. Be responsible for you and others. Talk to friends.

Don't be so hard on yourself. If you can spell obsessive and compulsive, you're not a moron. As for alcoholic, well, I dunno. When I can't get anything better, I will also seek comfort in the government approved drug - alcohol. But by all means, find something better. Booze is a crummy high. There are much better substances to calm your mind. Seek and ye shall find. As for being an Aussie, what's wrong with that? Oh, do you come from the land down under? Where women glow . . .

i dont think a nationality has anything to do with an obsession, or compulsion, however sometimes alcoholism is oftem hereditary and sometimes not.. as for being a moron could that be your general self or jsut what you become when you obsessively drink?
either way.. theres always places to go for help instead of reaching for a drink reach for the yellow pages and look for something under addiction counseling.. it sounds as if you could use some whether it for drinking, ocd, low self esteem or bpd....
any how good luck

Hey, your not a moron, just human. Everyone on earth has skeletons In their closet. For Instance, I take pills to get a buzzzzzz like all the time and hate It. Be cool, things eventually end and you'll feel better someday. Life Is not planned or scheduled, It just happens. My best advice Is to just think of your organ's, and don' let others put you down. Cheer up.. If I knew you, I'd have a drink with you myself and wont judge you. Feel better, Steve (NYC)

No, I've met plenty of Aussies who were fine folks, neither alcoholic, obsessive, compulsive (sp) or morons. So that can't be it.

Sorry, you'll have to look elsewhere, Sheila.

Best to you.
