my boyfriend and i are the same ages as you too i was very shy when i first met him i was so shy that he almost broke up with me because we couldnt hold a conversation but after he told me that he was thinking of breaking up with me it was a news flash i really cared about him and i knew that if i wanted something with him i woud need to get over my shyness so everytime we got together i would just think "i think im a kool person and interesting hell probably think the same" so i opened up and 17 months down the road and were happier then ever and theres nothing hidden between us and its great btw the way where i am the age limit is 16 so not everywhere she would be jail bait

im 16, hes 21... how do i act?
Well, at this age difference you are acting like jail bait. What the heck is this guy thinking being with a 16 year old girl. Tell him he is too old for you and find a girl that is his age.

You should stick to those your age and flirting will come naturally to you as you grow older. Someone 21 and over is usually hitting the bars and is only interested in someone your age for possible sex, which by the way shows he is not too smart since that would be illegal and brand him as a child molester for the rest of his life!!

Far as you being jail bait, what do you want me to tell you? if you don't want the truth, don't ask the damn question. To be honest, 5 yr. difference............. you're out of his league. If you felt that you can hang w/ and older crowd, then you would know what to do naturally instead of asking people online. Truth be told, he's a pedophile.

Act like you're NOT interested find interest in someone who will NOT go to jail if he dates you.
You are flirting with the fact that it is illegal for him to mess with you.

Seeing your added details, okay, I take back the illegal stuff. Still, mature or no, there's something creepy about a guy who is interested in someone so biologically young.

Stick with your education first and worry about boys and dating later! When you get out of high school and go to college you can worry about standing out with your mind and intellegence not with your flirting. Guys like smart and secure women too..

At his age, you had better be careful. most men that age mistake flirting for a come-on. This is illegal anyway. Stick with guys your own age. You will be glad you did. If he really cares for you, tell him to wait for a couple of years when you can date legally.

Act? It isn't about acting at all. But other than that, I won't deal with your question, because HE IS TOO OLD FOR YOU. At your age, you should be dating no one over 19.

You need to stay away from this guy unless you want to risk having him arrested. Since he's over age in today's world they enforce the age laws.

He's too old and experienced. Forget it. At this age, 5 years is a BIG difference.
