ive been in the air force for 3 yrs, its not so bad. basic training is a *****, its just a big mind game....they are screaming at u all day long.....i think the worse part is the sleep deprivation...u only get about 2-3 hrs a night, and during the day ur working constantly, so its pretty stressful.
after basic u will go 2 tech school for a few months....that isnt as strict, but there are many rules. all u gotta do is follow the rules, if u dont u will be punished or kicked out, and this isnt just during basic or tech school but through ur whole carreer.
my advice, take as much from the air force as u can, because there going 2 take as much from u as they can. a general told me that...

the first component to do isn't get your hopes up about flying some thing that would bypass mach a million. yet the position you commence is save on with to the air stress college as interior the airforce u go with to be a officer to grow to be a pilot once you bypass to the faculty you could try by ability of to grow to be a pilot yet searching on your try rankings and the rankings of the different cadets besides as your grades all 4 years will verify the position you fly do not forget that the first 2 % get their selection then the right 10 % after that get warring parties then 20 % receives shipment jets then they divy up all and sundry else as a lot as different plane which consists of the c-one hundred thirty i dont wanna kill your dream yet genuinely a thanks to bypass is interior the military with a rotary wing plane you dont go with to be a officer to fly and in case you could fly a helicopter you could fly a jet yet in case you could fly a jet you could fly a jet what i propose is there is so a lot more desirable enthusiastic some helo then there is in a sequence wing and in my oppinion alot funner to fly

Joselyn ... Yes, I tend to agree that Air Force life is good. However, their rank is comparatively slow ... I mean, the speed of promotions. So, you'll have to make a choice, perhaps. If quality of life is most important, Air Force may be for you. If you'd like to "make rank" (get promoted) faster, the Army may be the way to go. However, rest assured that Army life is not like Air Force living.
By the way ... I don't mean to sound like I'm disparaging the Army. I was Army myself, but I think that even an Army person would agree that those "blue suiters" have the edge when it comes to quality of live issues. Good luck.

My brother was in for 5 years. He enjoyed it mostly. After boot camp and an 18 months vocational training program at Sheppard AFB, it was a good life. He said boot camp was kinda tough though. Funniest thing he told me was in boot camp at Lackland AFB how he would have to eat an entire dinner in 1 minute with a drill sergeant screaming in his ear. If he had anything left on his tray he had to do pushups.

I loved the Airforce.
After Basic, you will go to training depending what your job is.
When you get to your first assigned base, it is more like a regular job.
Just remember that Basic training is just a mind game.
