???

A baby born with aids???
An innocent child who was raped and murdered???
A desperate and lonely adolescent with no one to look up to other than a drunken single mother????

Do we really think that our God is so evil to punish the "seemingly" innocent ones with such harsh measures?

I think that the concept of reincarnation (alomng with Karma )answers some of these disturbing questions.

What do you think?

To be perfectly honest, my daughter, it's the most plausibl;e concept I've come up with yet and it STILL fits in with every faith I've tried it with. Blessings.

I'm going to answer this question without looking at any other answers so I may repeat. To me (and I have thought about it a lot) the reason I don't accept reincarnation is because it does not explain what happens to the soul of the being you are reincarnated into. For example: A Hindu believes that if you sin and belong to a sub-caste you are not going to be you in the next life but some lower caste than yours or even an animal. So with your human memories and skills you are going to acquire another human body or an animal body? So what happens to the soul of the body you take over or the animal soul of the animal you take over? You will need a body at least as good as your last one to maintain your soul and memories so it is not possible that you start out as new, as a fetus with no soul, or else you wouldn't be you and the punishment would be ridiculous and ineffectual.

I am not a Christian or other religion who believes God is in control of all that happens in this world. I'm not a determinist. I believe that God gives us a "hell of a lot" of chance. God does not will that the baby be born with AIDs, that the innocent child be raped and killed, or the adolescent exist with a drunken mother. The ones that are guilty in these cases are those in power who can determine what happens in our societies and let it happen. In short us.

I woke up with a start!!??. I was like 4 or 5 years old, I was in my dream? a Confederate officer in a large tent and i remembered having the flags put out on the flag pole so i could see them threw the flaps of the tent pulled back, I remember how the table folded .& the chair, the men coming in as I gave orders, it was way to much for my little boys mind so I woke up,that was not me, it was me though, I will never forget that dream.. I drew a picture of the Confederate flag but Even though my `Dad and mother were southerner's they did know what it was. I still remember that dream well because it wasn't a dream, really.

My second wife was raped when she was 13 in ocala Florida by a black man,she was brought back in hypnosis, she was told to go to the time she was first raped as she was raped a few times by that ***** when he had her, in the woods, she suddenly begin talking Cherokee language, they taped it, called Cherokee N.C. I am part Cherokee, but dont know the language as well as I should.& i am from up that way.but this amazed me what she told me about this.
The man said she was saying that she was raped by a white man and then brought to a place till she had the white mans child.in the early 18 hundreds.
My brother in Atlanta told me not to tell anyone, but he said that his son Greg talked with a Yankee accent & wanted to know where his other parents , and where was his little brother , he said some things to be I could hardly beleive.so i have a sneaking hunch that yes reincranation is a fact in my way of thinking, but i do believe more in the spirit of God.right here right now is what I am concerned about, I sometimes I do actually cry when i remember the horrible times the south went thru.

No, it doesn't. It only tells you that man, or woman, has not yet learned that he cannot rule themselves. Yes, it is a harsh lesson, but one that needs to be learned before God bring an end to this old system. Trying to prevent what is happening now will not change the attitudes that have lead us down this path. We have to be willing to change our direction, select the difficult path through the narrow gate in order to gain the promise of a Paradise Earth where these things will not happen, ever again.

As for reincarnation, in a way that will happen at the time of the second resurrection, except you will come back as a perfect human being with your memories in tack.

1. God is not real.
2. Biologically, it is perfectly normal for a species to have many babies that don't ever reproduce, it's how natural selection works. The highest percentage of dead babies is basically from deformity, just like in horses, pigs, whales, etc. hint: get a clue, we are no different from other animals.
3. If karma and reincarnation help you sleep at night, good for you, but it is much more healthy and better for society if you are honest. You will probably get more out of life this way and instead of letting invisible nonexistent magic take care of the problems you see in the world, you can try to make an real difference yourself.

Well it could be balance, statistically not everyone can be born into a privileged family, for every person who is wealthy there is a person who is poor, for every healthy athlete there is a terminally ill patient. im not going to disprove reincarnation because there is no solid evidence and its your belief. but another explanation could be statistics and numbers, everything is up to chance and numerous variables. what is transferred in reincarnation? the soul? what can you explain is the soul? maybe just a part of your brain thinking irrationally or maybe it is something that just gets reused until liberation. but everything is a domino in some way, they are born fine but then something happens and they get aids which is transmittied to a mother and child, but the way they got aids must have come from a person who had it and then that means they got tainted by someone, also being raped and murderd, must mean someone was messed up enough to do it, but they were messed up by something messed up, it could be anything from a giant domino effect or statistic, karma and reincarnation is just as plausible

that's a dangerous mentality that you have. innocent are born into bad lives not because they did something wrong in a past life, but because sometimes bad things happen for no reason (by "reason", i mean "purpose"., not "cause".)

if you believe that these children DESERVE the bad life that they had dealt to them, then you might be inclined not to help them. it's also bad to believe in karma because it will keep you from taking care of things yourself. for example, if a thief steals something from you, you might not bother reporting him due to the fact that you think karma will take care of it. really though, there is no karma. so if you don't take care of it, then no one will.

furthermore, the burden of proof is not on me. it's on you. i can't really provide any proof to show you that reincarnation doesn't happen. the real question is, can you provide me with proof that reincarnation DOES happen?? you have deduced that reincarnation must be real in order to explain why some children are born into bad lives, but that under the presumption that all things happen for a purpose. i maintain that many things happen only due to cause and not for any purpose. i hope you find this to be a more satisfactory explanation than reincarnation.

All of your examples are things caused by men not God. Don't you think there would have to be a little more to it than being born, dying, being born, dying in a continuous cycle? Reincarnation and Karma don't answer any of those questions. Getting mankind to stop doing these evil things does.

I would certainly hope that you aren't holding God responsible for every bad thing that happens. God allows His creation (us) free will to act and behave as we want. Here's the hitch - every man is born as an unrighteous sinner. It becomes obvious as we grow from babies - we lie, hit, steal, and generally show lots of deficiencies. This behavior only gets worse as we become adults and our horizons are expanded.
A baby born with AIDS is most likely the result of his parents sexual sin. An innocent child raped and murdered is very unfortunate, but is the result of the atrocious behavior of the unrighteous sinner. Luckily there is good news! Jesus Christ, God's only Son, came to earth 2,000 years ago to live a perfect life, so that by His death, burial, and resurrection, we unrighteous sinners can be changed. When we BELIEVE that He died in our place as payment for our sin, we are transformed by God Himself. He gives us the Holy Spirit to indwell each of us, thereby giving us the very mind of Christ (not that we become perfect). We are sanctified by Him, and start changing a little at a time. This process goes on for our entire human lives and when we die, we at last become complete in Him. This is the grace of God. We don't 'DO' anything, we only need believe to receive this gift.
I don't want to offend you, but the concept of reincarnation is an error- based variation on the concept of being born again - which I have described above. Satan has a million ways to miss the bulls eye, and reincarnation is just one of them. For truth, please read God's Word - the Bible. Jesus said " I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by me'. It's really quite simple, but you'll grasp more of God's plan every day of your life.
Good luck on your spiritual journey! I'll pray for you.

Bravo kabooodelzzz!

This is the only possible explanation why "bad things happen to good people." God is just and set up the system of karma and reincarnation so that we all reap what we sow. We are all accountable for our actions whether or not we recall our poor decisions and actions from previous lifetimes. Saying that the devil did it or God is testing us just doesn't hold water.

Reincarnation does not address these issues of being born with defects.

And anyway, the world is ending with the sun reducing in its size, the atmospheric layer depleting etc. It will someday all end. How can re-incarnation continue? How about those who have not been re-incarnated sufficiently? Can they be born into a world that no longer exists???

There are much much more humans now than in thousands of years ago. The numbers don't tally unless you insist on warping logic to fit your concept.
