Make sure you finish in less than the time allotted.
Distill your presentation into three main points, and limit the number of sub-points if at all possible. You're not there to read a book aloud, you're there to make a compelling and powerful impact in a finite amount of time. You want them to walk away astounded.
Stay animated. Make the believe that you're passionate about the topic.
Brevity and pacing. Work under the assumption that everyone in the audience is a skeptic or worse, a cynic. Convince and persuade. Make the powerful case that cannot be ignored. This implies brevity - make your words few, but like arrows. This also implies pacing. You want to make unforgettable emphasis - not drone on endlessly.
Choose your introduction carefully - and use it in your conclusion to provide a sense of closure for your audience.

The key to a perfect presentation is this.
1. Don't jump around. Keep yourself on track and don't have your presentation go from one thing, to another, to a third topic, and then suddenly remember something and go back to the first topic.
2. Research thoroughly. Don't throw it a couple pieces just because it might make your presentation longer. In fact just as long as it looks good and sounds good you'll do a better job. Don't rush yourself through it and take your time.

Give handouts and in the handouts give them an outline of your presentation and then follow the outline. That looks real professional. Make sure you aren't nervous and seem self confident. Make sure you don't rush through the presentation, so pace yourself. Make sure you aren't too technical, that you can break it down in to easy to understand English. I am sure there will be people listening who will get all the techno garb but there will be some who need it in plain English.

split your time into 3:
1/3 prepare the detail
1/3 prepare the slides from the detail
1/3 practice givine the slides
Keep it simple:
no more than 5 bullets on a page
no more than 5 words to a bullet

Make certain that you have all of your information and that it is as accurate as possible. Then if speaking, be clear, concise and confident. Make sure that you know what you are talking about. Think carefully before answering questions. Just know your subject.

I would try to be entertaining (maybe sarcastically funny) in such a way that I would like my audience get the sad part, but still not be bored, depressed ...... and especially give them some motivation that they would want to do something about it themselves
