My sister developed really bad cystic acne at the age of 28. After seeing a dermatologist without much help, she tried proactive and has been using it for about 2 years. It has done wonders for her complexion. Just be careful-will stain clothes or towels.

If you ask this is because you may have acne.
Let me answer you this, acne comes from three reasons, may be one, or 2 mix or all three, 1- is beacuse the hormons issue, desabalance hormonal, 2- your skin is too grease or too dry and your skin is defending it self with poorly treatment ( bad soups , creams etc, ) 3 - stomach problems.
If you have the 1- you must look a doctor to make sure is not a big deal , about your desbalance hormonal if you are a woman you may have this changes close to your cycle, and is normal , but doctor or gynocolgist may help, if you have not normal cycle its a good escuse for tell your mom take you.
2- if your skin is too grease you may use proactive or avon for acne products are good too, and im sure there are more brands out there, the good thing about proactive is very ligth and can be adopted to any skin , if you don't have a big problem; but any of this products may work, the key is be constant and very clean, use a clean a new towel everytime that you wash your face, try to desinfect all tools that you may use daily and products that use in your face, wash your hands with antibacterial soup before wash your face or even touch your face, keep clean all products that you use daily like computer keyboard, mouse, pens, very well desinfected.
.If you have dry skin proactive may work too Im not sure if they have for this two types of skin, don't believe everything you see in the tv you know all is comercial and marketing, again if youare very disciplinate in waht is taking caring your skin daily you will succed.
3- if is about stomach problems, somtimes they are connected with the hormonal problems, or you are having bad disgestion, if this is the case, take some laxatives, keep clean your stomach daily drink a lot of water a lot vegetables will clean your blood so that way will not create this bumps in your face that are acumulations of grease cause the blood has been dirty, also gree tea may help you with this.
If you are having some infection see a doctor if you can take some antibodies.
I hope i answer you.
My resume is, proactive wont work in all types of skin and in all types of acne.
Any ways cleaning your face everyday and been very disciplinate wont hurt you, go for it!

Proactive really worked for my teens. But if you stop using it the blemishes come back, especially if you play a lot of sports or anything that makes you perspire a lot. You also have to use it just like it says,& don't skip a day or treatment.

It Worked For Me At The Start But I Missed Applying It Twice And When I Started To Use It Again, It Made My Face Red And Itchy.. So If You Do It DO NOT Miss Out On One Treatment

No, proactiv didn't work for me. It caused my severe adult acne to become much worse, burned my skin, made me look like I had 3rd degree burns on my face and made my entire face extremely painful to touch (even to wash it).

It probably works for most people, but Proactiv didn't nothing but give me undo stress and frustrations.

It can work pretty well. The gal that works with me uses it and likes it quite a bit. It can actually dry your skin out too much at times so don't just "pile" it on.

It works for me. It took like 6 weeks until my skin was compeletely cleared. It also made my skin really dry so I only use it once a day now.

It worked wonders for me :) and probably would of continued to work wonders if I had continued to use it. *Sigh* but definitely order it if you have a bad acne problem, it worked GREAT on mine when no other product would.

And look at me, I sound like I belong on the commercial lol!
