Tae Kwon Do America is a national organization. There are pros and cons to going with an organization like this. You will be able to enter tournaments hosted by the organization. You will be able to progress to state and national competitions. However, many of these schools are 'belt factories'. They focus on building an army of students to take to these competitions rather than having a few quality students. I have no experience with the school that you plan to attend so I can't say what they are like. You should also be aware that these large organizations don't like their students going outside the group. Meaning, they will likely discourage you from entering open tournaments where you could possibly be recruited by a national competition team like Paul Mitchell, or Team Xtreme.

Good luck to you.

it's also a korean ma,that is sports orientated.it's a good sport to learn to use to crosstrain in ma.i think theres probably ppl on here that can tell you if it's a mcdojo or not,if it is get your money back and run!it's up to you to decide what you want to do it for first?

team america? lol.

oh, tkd america. if competition is what you want it may be good for that, but there are other styles that can give you tourneys and a stronger risk reduction, action & reaction base than TKD.
