Yes, this was addressed on the Mythbusters when they tackled a bunch of vodka myths.

The better grade of Vodka has fewer impurities which can add to the hangover, so if you pay more for the better stuff and get smashed on it then suffer a little less with that hangover.

Of course drink a lot of water before you go to sleep and take a few Vitamin B12 and C pills as well. Alochol sucks up a lot of this so you need to increase their levels to help your hangover.

Yes
Premium vodka contains less of the substances (congeners)which lead to the dreaded "hangover". Clear liquors as a whole carry less risk of hangover and the premium spirits are even more filtered. However one of the primary substances which causes a hangover is ethanol. Once you drink enough alcohol a hangover is guaranteed, no matter what.
Drink allot of water, try a carb heavy light meal a few hours before drinking and drink in moderation, whether this means not allot of booze or just time out your drinking (as it does to me) is up to you.

yes, drinking vodka does help the hangover situation compared to dark or brown liquors (whiskey). however, i don't think it needs to be ultra expensive. i like Smirnoff's, it is triple filtered and very smooth. i also drink plenty of water while partying ( 1 glass every 1 or 2 drinks) this almost eliminates all signs of hangover because many of the ill effects are due to dehydration. this also helps flush out the toxins. try it and i guarantee you will feel at least 85% better than without. the more water you get in, the better you will feel!!

No
It has nothing to do with the quality of Vodka. It has to do with the Congeners in the alcohol. The lighter (in color) the less chance of having a hangover.

You can always not drink, and never get a hangover. :)
