you know what is interesting about this question? It is that fact that the founder of Mormonism, Joseph Smith readily embraced it and his predecessor, Bringham Young was too. So the first two and main influences supported polygamy. I know a large sect split off from polygamy, but they are basically saying they are disagreeing with the founder of Mormonism and what he said was written in the book of mormon.
A little side note. The only state that polygamy is legal is in Utah. If it is happening in other states like Arizona, it is being done illegally.

In what country are you living or have you not studied American history at all?
The Mormon Church renounced plural marriage by a Manifesto issued by then President Wilford Woodruff in October 1890. Anyone in the Church found practicing polygamy was, and is, quickly excommunicated.
Those practicing polygamy this day are not Mormons, but are splintered groups labeled such by the media. Polygamy is illegal in America and such infractions risk federal and state prosecution, fines, and even imprisonment.
In short, Mormons do not practice plural marriage anywhere in the world. That is a fact.
Added note: I'm curious as why the three thumbs-down. Is it because my reply was succinct and to the point with the truth firmly embedded? Is it because those expressing their dissatisfaction with my answer cannot get past the unique and truthful response I gave because of their own shallowness and bias?
