Not necessary... but sometimes the silent moments in the conversation may make her feel uncomfortable... like telling a bad joke, and no one laughs. I don't think she gets mad, she may just feel like she should be saying something, or you should. Or sometimes she may feel like you're preoccupied doing something else, watching TV, surfing the web, just not listening in general, etc...

Usually men aren't that verbal on the phone and there's nothing wrong with that. As women, we just need to understand that it doesn't necessarity mean anything bad. We tend to translate your silence as a number of things; failure to communicate, unwillingless to share your feelings and thoughts, lack of love, care, attention and interest.

Tell your friend that you are not a phone person and that prefer to touch than to talk. That is how you express your feelings to another person.

I don't know. That happens to me in conversation sometimes (even off of the phone). Then they get mad at me, and I'm like, "WTF? What am I supposed to say to that?"
bethcelis, what makes you think that he likes to touch people? I sure as hell do NOT like to touch. No way in HELL do I like to touch.
