I want to get 2 latin words tattooed in white ink (I am a rather light in complexion) on the inside of my left wrist. I want it to run horizontally rather than vertically along my wrist, just below the bend in my wrist.

From what I have seen white ink is good on individuals like me with a light complexion. This is a very personal tattoo, that is for me and noone else. I want it in white ink so it is not extremely obvious at first glance.

I am trying to figure out how difficult it would be to put words at this point on my wrist. Pain is not an issue, not having a blob of ink on my wrist is what my issue is.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I am having the Latin words for "Don't Quit" or "Never Quit" placed on the inside of my wrist.

I understand I can do anything I want, but that does not mean it is a good idea when trying to make sure I am having quality work placed on my body.

Horizontal rather than Vertical... like the tattoo at this link:

I just found this picture of Lindsay Lohan's white ink tattoo on her wrist, I like how you see it, but it is not obvious.

its doable, but i wouldnt do it.
i mean, the script on the wrist i would do, i love tattoos that look like that, in black ink!
but i think sometimes white ink can look like a scar, instead of a tattoo, so make sure you have the right complextion!!
here are some pictures that i found!!

Script Writing Tattoos On Wrist

2016-12-12 09:52:24 · answer #2 · answered by hairster 4 · 0 0

Well, I have a friend who has words on the inside of her wrist and she said it was the most excruciating pain ever. She said every time the artist would put the gun against her wrist her fingers would clench up in a ball and get all tense. You want to find an artist that is comfortable doing writing and not going to make it just a blob. I know that white is tricky, because it doesn't take in a lot of people. I have a tiny bit of white in a tattoo and it didn't take very well. Talk to an upstream tattoo parlour and see what they can tell you. Also before you decide on where you want it done, make sure you see some work that the artist has previously done (namely fine writing or intricate detail.)

I have a friend who has the holy spirit dove tattooed on that part of her wrist, and it's pretty small, and it came out beautifully. The thing with script tattoos is just to be sure it's not too small to where the ink 'runs together.' The needles can only be so small, and if the script is too small or thin, it won't be legible.

Good luck, and I love the idea of a white tattoo on a light skinned person. :)

I have a tatt in that exact spot on my right wrist. If you find a good tattoist anything is possible. Mine is in a kind of script writing, so i doubt that would be an issue and it really isn't that painful at all. Not too sure about the white ink though, haven't seen any in that ink :)

If you get it done at a really good shop, the tattoo artist should know what would look good and what wouldn't., and you guys should be able to work together until you are both happy. I just got a tatto of my daughter's name, "Athaliah" on my right inner wrist, in a pretty handwriting script. The artist worked with me on it and it looks AMAZING!!

Ya you can get it, but it'll have to shrunk down to be able to fit. The one on the back of my neck was shrunk down 3 times the normal size to fit. It also depends on the kind of writing. Mines in Old English. Scripture would probably work best since it's already pretty small. Well, good luck in finding the right design.

The "horizontal" and "vertiacl" aspect is lost on me...it depends how you are holding your arm.

Anyway...I can't imagine a reason you couldn't get this done.

There are people who have had almost every square inch of their body tattoed.

Why not their wrist?

In fact, I remember a boatswains mate in the USN who had hinges tattoed on his wrists (and elbows and knees and...).

I know a lady with ink on her wrists, so I know it's possible. No clue on the coloring for you though...

Anything is possible. What kind of tattoo are you planning on getting there....perhaps a dotted line with the words "cut along dotted line" below it. JK

sure it's possible just tell the artist that you want it to go up your wrist and not across it. it'll probably take multiple applications to get the white solid.
