I use frozen blueberries because:
They are available throughout the year.
I do not have to "rush" a recipe for fear they will go bad.
I can use a "partial" package, and re-use the remaining later.
The packagers have made sure I have the best/sweetest ones.
I use the frozen ones for both pancakes & muffins.
For pancakes (no need to defrost)
>Place batter on griddle
> Place frozen blueberries on top of each measured portion of griddled batter (add as many as desired)
>Continue cooking pancake as you would normally
Make sure to seal package (twist tie or sealing bag) of the remaining blueberries, and to return them immediately to freezer for your next use.
Makes blueberry pancakes & muffins a cinch.

Dried blueberries are actually better to use for pancakes or muffins. Since blueberries bleed quite when heated; fresh ones can turn to mush at high heat. You can use fresh ones if they are a smaller species. (Smaller ones be the natural heirloom akin species and would do best rather than modern hybrids sold at super markets with gushing and bleeding out). For when they bleed they taste bland or even sour; being that super big grocery mainstream ones. Frozen I'd avoid.

Either is fine, although the frozen ones are soggy when cooked, but remember, to add the blueberries in last and don't over mix, just stir to encorporate.

Fresh blueberries are always better if available. But sometimes frozen ones can be better because they are sweeter.

Fresh...frozen will kind of melt and make a goo whereas fresh will stay firm and still produce a nice, fresh flavor when biting into it...=)

either would work, jsut thaw the frozen ones if you use them.
put a scoop of batter in the pan then sprinkle some blueberries over it, then flip over when it's ready.

I don't think that it really matters if you use fresh or frozen.

Either are good, basically I would use the fresh ones.
