Not only is this untrue, but some hotels often offer free shows at other hotels. Since you're going to Las Vegas, here are some tips.
Money Saving Tips:
-You can get free drinks from waiters
-To maximize your amount of free drinks, you should put down a 10 dollar tip beforehand
-Hotels often offer VIP cards that will get you free moeny to play slot
-If you go by the reception desk you can find someone handing out cards for a free show and dinner
-Set a limit on the amount of money you're planning to spend (Self control and patience is key to good gambling)
-Instead of playing slot machines, play some card games (These are not only more fun, but you're more likely to win some money back)
-Check out the older sections of Las Vegas
-Try walking instead of renting a car (You can use the bus to get to your hotel)
-Have fun, you're not going to Las Vegas to make money on gambling, you're there to have a good time

The whole point of Vegas is going from Hotel to Hotel spending money and having fun as you go. I've been twice and have been welcome at every hotel/casino I walked into and that was almost every hotel on the strip plus a few in downtown Vegas.
Now they do have wants called a "black list" which means you will be asked to leave almost any hotel/casino as soon as they see you, but thats mostly for people who have been caught cheating at a game.

WHAT? Nothing further from the truth.
They would do whatever to attract you to the casino. That is where they make all their money. And that is the number one tourist pastime in Vegas. Walking the strip, checking out all the hotel casinos.

Someone don't know what their talking about. Thats exacty what you do while in Vegas. You go as long as your feet can handle it, up and down the strip, in and out of every big hotel casino. You have to see them all, they are beautiful. And thats exactly what they want you to do. They hope to get all the business they can.

No, it isn't. I have been there only once about 5 years ago, but you can walk into the hotels, and there are slot machines, etc everywhere. We walked up and down the strip, checking out each hotel!
