I am on a diet, and I was wondering if 100% whole wheat pita bread is a healthy choice to eat.

Also, if I baked pita bread, will those be healthy as well?

Only way to tell... flip it over, check the label.

If you can fit the calories into your daily calorie intake, then sure, why not? Just watch out for the portion size - often it is only for half the pita. The other thing you want to look for is the fiber content. Since you need to get 25g per day, you need to find a pita that has a couple grams per serving.

Baking has no effect on it being healthy or not.

It's what you pack IN the pita bread that makes a difference!

yes, it's healthy, but I read that pitas have twice as many calories as a piece of bead........ 165 for a pita, 70 for a piece of bread
