When you look at actual pounds, then yes, a person who weighs 300 pounds might lose 3 pounds a week, but a 150 pound person may lose 2 pounds a week. Mainly, because the 300 pound person has more pounds to lose.

However, when you look at percentages, there really isn't much of a difference. Your body will only give up so much fat without going into starvation mode.

Let's say a fat person who eats 3000 cal a day and a skinny person who eats 1500 cal a day go on the same diet and they both start eating 1000 cal a day. A fat person will be losing 1 lb every 1.75 days VS a skinny person will be losing 1 lb every 7 days.
