you could have sleep apnea, where you are not getting the proper sleep while you are actually sleeping. or maybe you're not getting enough sleep.

here's a website about sleeping disorders:

Hope that helps

Try relaxing, focus on something that calms you. When I'm stressed, I think about a summer day, and I am floating on a cloud, the thought is relaxing. If you are thinking about the things that stress you, you are going to sleep tense, and you will toss and turn alot. Therefore, when you awaken, you don't feel rested. Chemical sleep aids will only provide tempory relief to your problem. You need to get to the real reason what is keeping you awake. I suggest you get a checkup at your dr. if you haven't done it for awhile and discuss it with him/her. That would be a good starting point.

Try reading a book before bed, exercising, and eating dinner at early time. IF that don't work then take a sleeping pill.

You might want to have a look at what's going on in your life. Loss of vitality, feeling sleepy and tired often masks something else. For example, when we're not happy in our day-to-day life or we're feeling powerless or unfulfilled etc.

This may be confronting for you, or it may even sound like utter bollocks, but your body is the barometer of your soul, and it sounds like you're not wanting to face your days. Is there an area in your life where you are not feeling fully self expressed? Are you compromising yourself to please others or gain others approval?

Tiredness is a symptom of the problem... look at what's underlying it for your answers. I'm happy to discuss more if you want to email me.
