What is the advantanges and disadvantages of getting married after the age of 30?

The advantages and disadvantages of getting married are the same as under age 30.

I would say the biggest advatnge would be that most likely you are financially stable, and already have a home. Pretty secure in your job and have most of, if not all, your childish ways put behind you. You have acquired most of your material needs and really come into the relationship in a 50/50 way.

A big disadvantage i guess would be your age for childbirth is limited-- now i know there have been like 60 year olds having babies, but to be honest, your body is on a timer. the older you are when you have a child the more likely it is to have medical issues according to some studies. It is harder on the body as you age to chase after the little ones (however i am 30 with a 2 year old and doing fine- some days better than others).

In the end it really depends on the couple and how mature they are to accept that type of relationship.

I think getting married after 30 is good b/c you will hopefully be in a marriage where both people have experienced enough in their former relationships where you both know what you want and are on the same wavelength. The only disadvantage I can think of is biological factors (problems having kids). But in the end its all about the relationship and being with someone you can see for the rest of your life

There are many advantages. For both men and women, they are mature enough to make a rational decision, not just based on romance. That doesn't mean there isn't love. Both genders have finished their post-secondary education, have begun their careers, and have lived independently. They are probably set up in a community, being productive members of society. All this helps for a better, more stable marriage, and then they are more secure and ready to have children, if that is what they want.

Well, it depends. If you're religious, waiting for sex (and children if you want them) until after you are 30 is sort of a silly. There is a reason that religious people get married younger. After the age of 35 risks of having babies goes way up for women and who the hell wants to ruin the first few years of marriage with a screaming stupid baby? Another thing is that by then you'd be so used to being single that adjusting to marriage would be hard and the likelihood of divorce wouldn't go down or anything, wouldn't go up either.

I got married for the second time at the age of 35. Three years later I can say that it is better. We are financially in a better palce, we are both more mature. I also know that I am happy within myself. He is not responsible for my happiness.
