You talking about church people? I don't know any Christians.
If you're talking about church people, you're talking about people who have no clue, by and large; and asking them that question will only bring out more idiocy and self-righteous responses.

I think you meant to say your experience with Christians has left you angry. Even I as a Christian can empathize with that. Some "Christians" are mean, stupid and dictatorial, I have had problems with people who called themselves Christian in the past too. In fact I don't believe that many of the people who call themselves Christian are really Christian at all.

Most atheist are fond of pointing out that we have a lot of different denominations, Our denominations go to prove not all "Christians" are the same, and therefore calling us all bad after meeting a few bad ones, is the same as meeting one bad African American and calling them all bad.

Please don't lump us all together, you probably wouldn't do that to a particular race, so please don't do it to a particular religion.

Are you really angry that they are sorrowful that your experience left you angry, or are you angry that you don't believe they are sorrowful at all, but trying to avoid taking responsibility for what they - as individuals - have done to you?

There is a phenomenon called "spiritual abuse." If it means anything to you at all, as a Christian, I believe those who use Christianity to abuse others will answer to God for that. And I really am sorry that you suffered and are angry at those who should have helped rather than hurt you.

Deacon Knight, I have a question. Are you like every other non-Christian? No, of course not, that would be crazy to think that every person within any group thinks and feels exactly the same way. Most people who are angry at Christians have expierienced a judegemental person speaking in the name of Christ, but not acting in his manner. It is for this reason we say that, because, out of no fault of your own, you have not had the opportunity to deal with one who follows Christ's great commandments: Love the Lord, and love your neighbor.

I am a Christian and have never used that phrase.

Have you had an experience that has left you angry?

I certainly have. And when this happens, I AM sorry for the fact that I reacted with anger - but Christ does not allow me to stay angry.

nice try but you'll not get a self honest answer out of a Fundy. they can poke you in the eye in the name of Jesus and consider you ungrateful for reacting in negative manner. a Fundy Christian is NEVER responsible for the unpleasant reactions they provoke in others.

you're just bitter or jealous or evil or deluded by the devil or lost or you hate truth ... it's always your fault ... not theirs ... when they invoke hostility.

That's their self-righteous way of saying they're right, you're wrong, end of discussion. They don't accept that there is anything other than what they believe to be true.
