Do you lift weights? It can be a great way to tone up and add muscle to your frame.
The other thing, make sure you are eating a healthy diet. You might be skinny because you are not getting all the nutrients that your body needs. Focus on changing to healthy diet and exercise habits, and if you still don't gain weight, then that's just the way you are! Congrats! Worst thing you can do is to try a crash weight gain idea that gets you into a habit that makes you gain 10 pounds... then another 10 pounds... then another 10 pounds...

It is rude when people feel the need to comment on weight! Why is it everyone thinks its ok to tell someone they look too skinny? It has hurt my feelings on more than one occasion. If you really want to gain weight you should try eating on some kind of a schedule. Try and incorporate more calories into your day. Nuts can be a good way to do this because they are high in calories but are full of healthy fats. Drinks like Ensure or meal replacement shakes can also be an easy way to get down a substantial amount of calories if you drink them in addition to your meals. But I say embrace your body! I'm sure a lot of people just comment of out of jealousy.

You are right. Nobody has the right to tell you how to feel about yourself.
My solution is simple to understand, is 98 percent effective, but is not always easy to follow. If you want to do drastic changes with your body, all you need is to learn how to gain certain control over your mind. I have seen it repeatedly, how the mind is capable of losing dozens of pounds. I advocate therefore for hypnotherapy, the art of relaxation. strangely, it is in your relaxed state that you can fully control the body and mind. That is, in part, how the renown masters of martial arts and yogis do their miracles. Through total relaxation of body and mind.
Most importantly, anybody can do it. You can learn it from a good book, or from an expert hypnotherapist. If you want to do it yourself, I recommend Hypnosis for Beginners by William Hewitt.
I like his approach.
The advantage of hypnotherapy is that you can make your beauty as perfect as you would like. If it goes for you, that's that. No side effects, no hidden tricks. On the other hand, in the 2 percent of cases which fail, you will find people with emotional issues which enhanced their weight issue. So, while hypnotherapy is the most effective, people are reluctant to use, at times, because of bad rep, and because of the emotional issues that surface.
The bad rep is undeserved. The emotional thing is true. It can be uneasy, when done alone, if it is sitting there, and 'waiting' to get out.
Anyway, at least now you know all the aspects of the solution, and can choose for yourself. Good Luck.

Your BMI is 19. 19 to 24 is normal. This means you are perfect. They say this since they are jealous. I knew a high school model who was on the cover of a magazine. Everyone in school ignored her. She was very nice, not stuck up.
America is now the fattest society to ever exist. Have you heard of Princess Diana. Her BMI was 17 so compared to her you are fat. Do thin girls say you are thin? No it is the jealous fatties.
My mother and I have always been thin and muscular. You can lift weights and make your weight more solid muscle. My mother used to teach ballet at Joulliards school of performing arts.
See the page below on being happier with yourself. The more you worry about what others think, the more unhappy you will be. You are a fatty compared to Princess Diana. The home page of the site below has lots of weight loss tips. Write it down and when people say you are thin, give them that URL so they can be thin also and they will thank you for caring about them.

if your metabolism is just high maybe instead of eating more you might try weight training to tone up a little. then you'll look a little bigger but in a nice toned way, not a flabby "I eat cheetos and twinkies!" kind of way. Just an idea. I wish I had your problem. I can barely eat anything at all without gaining five dress sizes.

In the pharmacy they sell weight gain powders and shakes, but honestly I would get a check up with a doctor and make sure there is not a underling medical condition, which could be a probem.

One question...-Are you reasonably healthy? If you answer, "Yes". -then please, Please, PLEASE- leave well enough ALONE!!! You have everybody's DREAM metabolism- why waste food trying to look like someone you're NOT?! Thin people live forvever. -Take the "hint", & go for that hot fudge sundae. At least YOU can afford it... :)
