What do you think? If you're not authorized, what does that tell you?

To be more clear: Yes, it is against the law. A woman here in Maine cause a pileup not too long ago when she decided to do what you're asking.

It is against the law, as your vehicle is not an "authorized vehicle". Those paths are for emergency and law enforcement use only.
