Sure there are things we all want and things we don't want. Thats about choices. However right and wrong do not exist as absolutes. Right and wrong are relative. Something can be right during a certain era, and then that same thing would be wrong in another era. Example: Is it wrong to lie at certain times within certain situations. Is it wrong or right to tell a lie to save a life? Of course not!

there is no such thing as right and wrong, the social norms and the morals that govern society are just created from the human mind, without the human mind, there would be no 'meaning' to anything, no morals, no right and wrong, and it also comes down to perception, absolute reality is unknown, what one perceives to be right doesn't make it right and vice versa for wrong, it's all in the head

people oblviously don't get this, just because i believe there is no real right or wrong doesn't mean i'm all for abolishing ethics and values, but it does mean that i try to be open-minded and more tolerant, it's easier to see where the other person is coming from, but if people are stubborn and arrogant about what they believe, no matter how hard one person tries, it's not going to be enough to come to a compromise

get past the superificial right and wrong, think, is there really a right and wrong? everyone keeps bringing up already accepted social morals, you don't get it

There are no absolute values for right and wrong. They are based on what we've been taught, what we desire, and situation at hand. Pretty much everyone thinks it is wrong to kill, but killing becomes glorified and praised in times of war. Most people don't approve of stealing, but how many people would try to find the rightful owner if they found a million dollars lying around? I think you're correct. Right and wrong are just concepts we use to justify our desires and refute those of others

Do you also think light is dark and dark is light?

Who here thinks there's a lot of egotistical psychobabble answering this question?

Feeling guilty is your brain's way of telling you that MAYBE you have done something hurtful to others or hurtful to yourself. If you don't like feeling guilty, do more things right! What you "want" has little to do with it.

Where do relativists go when they are sick? If you would go to a doctor instead of my 4 year old, you believe in a right and wrong.

Well, it is all about you, isn't it? I mean, the whole universe revolves around your whims and wishes, doesn't it? No right and wrong? Is that the pseudo-universe you have constructed? If you believe that, tell me what your address is so I can come and steal your stuff, I mean, that wouldn't be wrong, would it?

there's nothing right or wrong. its on one's perception. there is only true and false.
it might be right for you but wrong for others, as long as it works for you it must be true. all life is true. it doesn't matter if you believe or not believe, truth remains. .
