Eeeek! I bought a CRACK house!?

Question

So, I just bought a house and I was talking to the neighbor and he said that the people that used to live here were crack heads. This is a nice house in a nice neighborhood! So now I'm worried about what might be in my house. While I have vaccumed and cleaned, I'm still afraid that there still may be drugs in here. I have cats and they are walking around on the carpet! What if they did METH too!
What should I do to make sure the house is "clean" of any drugs. Could it possibly be unhealthy for me to live here? What crack ssmoke in here?

Get some professional cleaners in...and check the house's history with the police..watch who comes knocking on your door.

Have the carpet professionally cleaned and paint the walls. How would the neighbors know for sure. That's a nasty thing to say about the neighbor who moved out.

Yikes - you better do a cleansing ritual - burn sage or something! LOL. Lock your doors and put up something on the front door, like a sign that says "say no to crack"! If you have hardwood under the carpet rip it up and use Killz on the walls before painting.
