Trim the front and side of your hair but do not touch the back! Let it grow out as long as you like. As the saying says: business in the front party in the back!

I think the key to the righteous mullet is the sides... People think it is about business in the front and party in the back, but if you look at the top shelf mullets, the sides are what make or break the whole thing. Plus, you want to be righteous TODAY. You can get all the style of a mullet that has been groomed and aged to perfection by trimming the sides of your hair today so that the back LOOKS like it is ready to party tonight, and the front LOOKS like it is ready for the office tomorrow.
