This question is really complicated and I'm sure everyone who has started drinking asks themselves this question. To put it basically, people who drink alcohol, at least initially, are drinking it to get drunk. Why they get drunk is a whole other question, but social factors defintately effect this. When people drink to get drunk, they aren't concentrating on the taste, they are trying to get intoxicated. This is usually the case for newer drinkers or younger drinkers. I've dealt with this case recently as my girlfriends brother has started drinking. He hates the taste of beer and resorts to drinking hard lemonade or a variety of shmirnoff drinks. These drinks are very popular amongst people (usually young or underage drinkers) who aren't used to alcohol and need more sugar and flavor in their drink.

Some do it for the social aspect, but many do like the taste of alcohol. I enjoy a good glass of wine myself.

I enjoy the taste of good drinks.
A good beer taste better than Mountain Dew or Pepsi to me (probably healthier as well).
A good cognac is great after dinner with a cigar. It is my way of capping off the day.
A good wine with dinner adds to the flavor combination of the meal.
I never cared much for the cheap stuff, i.e. drinking just to get drunk.

If you drink red wine with italian food the wine tastes good. Beer also has a good flavor. I quess you have to spend some more money and buy the good quality stuff.

because after enough...everbody will start lokking hotter than before and nothing bad can happen. (That is really a myth that alcohol makes everybody look better. After enough, one eye is closed and the other is squinting so much that the person may look good.)

I think beer taste bad but I drink it because it is cheap.

cause it gets me drunk and not all alcohol tastes bad plus once im drunk i dont taste the alcohol anymore

For the buzz,that's why, they like the feeling of alcohol, even though it takes terrible,,,,or they just want to fit in, cuz thats what everyone elso is doing.

hi dear! actually in all life human life is stupid life its mixed with palnty of useless and useful things we have tofight with life every day every second so god gaven us night time for relaxaiation but still we cant get happy sleep so most all like to use alcohol coze its make u sleepy and make u relax. its style, its fashione , its social , its need for every one hope u also have every to day one from now with heartfully cheers babay
