When we as atheists read the comments here by the Christians, its kind of apauling, that basically this guy is an unsaved worthless baffon,

only one or two even know he is an author.

You asked what they thought about him and they all talked about how he is "unsaved".

Of course it is the religion section, and you did ask for opinions of Christians, so the mentality is "religion".

If asked in the literature section at the same time I think the results would be different from people who regularly attend a church.

The people in this section are pretty black and white from this sample here, the person is either saved or unsaved, a gang mentality if you will, richard dawkins isn't in our gang so something bad will happen to him.

Pathetic.

His fine accent does most the work, which isn't much.

Here is what we think:

He's obsessed by his faith in Darwin. Any research beyond that of Dawkins' 19th century messiah of science is deemed heretical.

I haven't read the book but if he provides only facts, I don't have a problem with him.

If he could actually prove that there is no god, it would be major news. But such proof is unlikely.

Misguided; I've heard one of his arguments and it was refutable easily.

I wish I would have seen the debate between him and genetics scientist Francis Collins (who is a Christian and authored the book "The Language of God").

Meh, he's entitled to his opinion. He's obviously an intelligent guy, but his views are neither radical nor groundbreaking. Just another one of those "creationism is bull****" people.

He writes books.
He does a hell of tap dance that some people believe.
When I sit down to read him I find he starts off with bad foundation, but polishes very good to those who are not paying attention.
