Which is better and which do you prefer?

Mercedes Benz with out a doubt! All Lexus does is copy Mercedes design & technology. Lexus is an upstart wannabe car, the kind you buy when you don't know much about cars or their history.

I work with a all kinds of cars, I have been both an owner of a Mercedes S 500, and a Lexus Es 300 and IS 300, It is not that Mercedes is superior it depends, A Lexus will have less problems (mechanically and electrically) and the Mercedes is constantly in the shop (and it's not cheap). It would be Ignorant on my behalf to say Mercedes is better, keep in mind Lexus has the #1 reliability in the nation. Plus Mercedes once you get to 80K they start leaking oil.

Lexus for quality and price. Though we have both makes, we have 3 Lexus vehicles to 1 Mercedes and plan to maintain this ratio.

I work with high line cars. Benz are junk, BMW is backwards ergonomics, Lexus quality and fit is unmatched.
If you like either over Lexus, then you are going on looks alone and not stats, facts and proven track records.
A $50,000 Lexus will still be worth $10,000 when it has 150,000 miles. No Benz or BMW will hold that value, if even half.

There's no comparing the two. Once you drive a Mercedes, you'll never be satisfied with Lexus. It'll seem like just another Toyota (which it is).

Not a whole lot of difference in price, heard the Lex handles
& rides better. Its really a 50/50 coin toss unless U prefer one
over the other.
