This is a spiritual question? Pour hot tap water over the bottom of the bottom bowl to help it expand and it should separate.

Pour water into the lower bowl. The pressure will sometimes help to push them apart. You also might want to drizzle a little oil in the lower bowl and swish it around.

Fill the sink with water and put them in the water and start wiggling them around. Water will get between them eventually and they will separate.
Same thing happened to me last night as a matter of fact, with two plastic cups.
