I feel your pain hun. I have the same thing. I don't know the cause of mine either. I think its related to the fact that i had a hysterectomy but I am not sure. I used to wear my hair short and stylish but I found it showed my bald spots more so now I wear it parted on the side and straight down with bangs. I highlight it a little. I am about 65% gray so i also color my roots to keep the gray away. When its time to color,...Boy the bald spots REALLY show.. I have been using Suave Products that are the same as Humectress. It seems to keep my hair healthy....what hair i have that is..

Dear Bee,
THere are many possible reasons for hair loss. These include:
- stress
- hormonal imbalance
- extreme acidity in the body
Would you consider a detox to rectify the problem?
My husband had the same problem but had much hair grow back after doing the detox. Even his white hair turned black.
Another lady I knew regained the hair that she lost due to hormonal imbalance after the detox.
For the detox, all you need to do is three things.
Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.
Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods consumable even by babies and pregnant women that will enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.
Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out and help your body start to accept water.
And that's it.
The rest is up to you.
So what do you think? ;)

A huge reason why you may be losing hair is problems with your thyroid. unfortunately the blood tests they do to see if your thyroid is working properly or not fail to diagnose the majority of people with the disease. There are supplements and diet changes you can make to help your thyroid. Do a lot of research because a lot of the internet sites selling thyroid supplements are bogus.
The second huge reason and one hardly anyone knows about is what happened to me. The use of any kind of diet sugar (all of them-splenda, equal, etc.) can cause this. These fake sugars were ok'd by the FDA very suspiciously. The research was conducted by the artificial sweetener companies themselves. Check out Dr. Mercola's website. He wrote a good book about this. I found his website and this information because I was researching reasons for my sudden hairloss with no explanation from my doctor. Most people don't know that the testing done on artificial sweeteners was done in its pure form. Not as it is distributed in packets. Most importantly is that some other countries banned all artificial sweeteners all together when they found out that the sweeteners turn toxic when heated even a little bit (like in a can of diet soda being transported to the store by truck). After I cut out all the artificial sweeteners (which wasn't fun- I love diet soda! and not easy -it's in everything, yogurt, cereal, gum) my hair loss stopped completely.

Have you gone to a specialist to see about your hormones? Are you taking any medications that would cause hair loss? Extreme stress can also cause hair loss.
I work with a 47 yr old lady who had a hormone imbalance that was causing her hair loss. Until she got her medical situation under control, she wore an attractive wig.
One of my sisters-in-law has thinning hair and she wears the coolest hats.
I suggest a visit to your doctor to rule out any medical conditions since you are so young.

Hair transplantation isn't just for men. If it affects you that much, perhaps you may consider that. In the meantime, there's all kinds of head wear that comes in and out of style—hats, bandannas, etc.
If you make a special appointment with a high-end salon, they will usually help you choose a style that reduces the visibility of the situation if you ask. Just be upfront about it. You're not the first one to ask.

hmm..
first off , stop using whatever shampoo you've been using..
do you use heat alot on your hair?
do you condition it daily?
my hair sheds all the time so its normal to shed but not to the point where there are bald spots..
It could be some kind of medical condition so maybe a doctor would know? I would definately get checked out ..
Sorry i couldn't help much..

They say we loose hair as we get older. mine of course have been natural for 20+ years and i still don't know what to do with it. it's not really thin though. however, they have something called hair fertilizer for the sides and thinning hair which is suppose to be very good. i can't really think what brand it is but u can get it in an oriental beauty store, (not unless u know of an african beauty supply store). it's very popular brand. really good supposedly. Also pathenol vitamin (b5) is suppose to be good and inositol for hair. I wouldn't try to put hair weave in your hair because it just might thin it out more. U need hot oil treatments and also get a good beautician and stick with her for hair growth.
Stress is the worse on hair. I didn't like "b" vitamins but however, bee pollen did better for me as far as stress is concerned. but sometimes i think it would break me out.
good luck

assalam o alikum
i m sorry for ur current situation. may Allah help u
one thing i advise u to use scarf, i.e. cover ur hairs properly (i dont know ur location) because the sun rays, air pollution etc effect hairs. also stop using conditioners etc and too much hair dry and things like this. because it effect not only hairs but ur scalp as well.
* also consult hair specialist, and see what he suggest.
* consider ur diet as well, may b that is effecting ur hairs
* and ur thinking style, do u think and worry too much?
** last but not the least, ask Allah(God) to help you, and give u health
may Allah bless u, ameen
Allah hafiz
