Put Vaseline on at night, then cover your hands with socks or gloves.
Leave it on all night. It may take a few days, but it will help them heal.

Purchase a jar of heavy duty skin cream such as cetaphil and apply a thick layer to your hands before bedtime. Also purchase a box of plastic liners gloves that food preps are required to wear and put these on your hands so that the cream doesn't rub off while you are sleeping. After doing this for a week or so, your hands should be much better.

I have the same problem! I find that hydrocortisone cream works well for spot treatment where it is especially dry, and I also use Avon Moisture Therapy Oatmeal Lotion. I know it sounds weird with the oatmeal part, but it's just like normal lotion except it helps more with moisturizing. It works really well in combination with the hydrocortisone.

You can always use vaseline. You might have a skin disease such as roseacea (im not sure of the correct spelling). It keeps your skin red. If you put all those creams on and it don't work, then I suggest you see the doctor.

You really need to read "Rosacea Free Forever" by Laura Taylor (also available in electronic format here: http://www.rosaceafreeforever.info ). It's about how to permanently cure your Rosacea naturally. I cured my Rosacea permanently in only 4 days after reading this.

Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

You can always slather your hands with vaseline at night then put a pair of socks over them so you're not getting vaseline all over. Also, I found this site on homemade recipes: www.pioneerthinking.com

i would first try creamy petroleum jelly. the key is the creamy part. you can buy at walmart for a couple of dollars. if dry cracky skin is the problem, this will def help. it's basically a cream based vaseline just not as greasy....worked great for me.
