Not much difference, they're almost the same. Use different method of storing info.

A flash card, memory card, flash memory card are all basically the same.
All digital cameras use them..as well as mobile phones and other devices.

First responder is not correct. A flash memory card uses a totally different technology from a random access memory card. The flash memory retains its contents when power is removed, but is slower to read (and much slower to write) than a random access memory card. Random access memory cards do not retain information when power is removed. Flash memory cards are convenient for moving data from one machine to another.
