No, commuting costs are never deductible.

Depends - If you are a consultant or have your own compant of some kind you might be able to if you are going ot see a client or the travel is realted to your business.

But if you have a regular 9-5 job and you use the subway to get there, you typically can not deduct it.

no u can not use public transportation on your taxes.
