I am mixed also , my dad is black and my mom is hispanic.. my mom had no idea what to do with my hair when i was younger, but now I am 21 and can tell you .. get the Pantene Shampoo & conditioner for her hair.. Get the reg size bottle of shampoo and the big bottle of conditioner.. And after you shampoo, put loads of conditioner on her hair.. let it sit for like 3 minutes, and then detangle the hair while the conditioner is still on.. TRUST ME !! this works MIRACLES on our type of hair!! ... To style it, i use Herbal Essences mousse for curly hair and a little bit of hairspray.. since she is young you night wanna try using gel instead, so it wont damage her virgin hair..oh and something real important is not to towel dry hair like you would yours.. this causes frizz!! just wrap hair carefully in the towel but dont rub it! then while hair is still damp, put mousse in.. hair has to be damp, not mostly dry.. then put gel in, and dry with hair drier for 2 mins, or let air dry and ta-da!

The best product to use on her hair is Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding and then for daily maintenance use Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercreme. These products will also add a lot of moisture to your daughters hair. Check out the website www.missjessies.com Me and my sister have naturally curly hair and it works wonders.

If you go to Wal Mart or Target or ShopKo they have hair treatments like special shampoo and conditioner and oil for black hair. I'm not sure of any brand but they do have there own little section. Just ask someone in the hair department to show you were they are at. I'm sure you will be able to find something made specifically for her hair.

my best suggestion is to buy a wide tooth shower comb and good conditioner. while her hair is wet put conditoner onhair , comb from ends to roots. rinse conditioner in direction hair was combed. then try frizz ease if you want her to where out. If not wearing out use a good hair conditioner, grease and style.she is black and her scalp needs grease and oil ethnic hair thrives on oil whereas yours doesnt, so dont wash daily. 1-2 times a week. if you want her hair to be fly trust me on these tip. p.s. lots of biracial family.

use the products reccomended for black people. It sounds like her hair has inheirted more of her father's genes.
Don't use a straightner a lot, because it'll harm her hair.
Also, use an anti-frizz from Sunsilk.

I would use a deep conditoner. Leave it in for an hour or so once a week. Also, try just using your fingers to brush it for a while when it's wet and don't brush it when it's dry (that would just magnify the poof)
Good luck

It's called a little grease---little grease and water. Should do the trick you can also try Paul Mitchell products they are really good with conditioners and have good detangler products.
