They're not God, and if God has made his presence known and I rejected him, why would Christians knock on my door and just remind me I'm going to Hell?

Christians believe that they are God's hands and feet, or the body of Jesus Christ. Christians are here to do Jesus' work.

First of all its not a Christian's job to tell someone that they are going to hell because..:"thall shall not judge" however as a christian we are here to do service for God and others by helping spread God's word. We want the nonchristians to be able to have a life like ours that is a life for God and only God.

Because Christians were told by Jesus to live their relationship with Him by loving and helping others.
The knocking on the door is just to let you know that if you change your mind, you have a friend nearby who cares for you and who will help you find your way back to God.
It is up to you to open the door.

I love this question.

I know what you mean.
They pester other christians too.

They seem to think they have all the right answers. I think they are trying to reasssure themselves. The more persistant they seem to be, the less sure of themselves they are.

Sorry to do this, but even if we reject God, He NEVER leaves us.

I think hasslers just have the reverse effect, in that it puts people off thier brand of faith.

It is scarey stuff, especailly when they wont give up. I have found the best way is to say to them, Yes, i've heard about your religion, have you heard about mine. And start telling them about Buddhism or something.

No christian is supposed to knock on your door to tell you you're going to hell.

We're supposed to glorify God by telling about him and living righteously (many forget that last part).

If you still choose to reject God, be sure it's not because you've been overly pestered by society, the media, today's education system, fashion, political correctness, and an over abundance of self-esteem.

I beg your pardon.
I do not pester.
I simply tell it like it is,
whether you like it or not.
those folks who knock on your
door are rarely true Christians.....
although they call themselves that.
look, Christians are not perfect.
they can be overbearing too....
'but their interest is in telling you that there is a way for you to avoid an eternity in Hell through Jesus Christ....
nothing more.
Christians don't get points for telling you......
God does not want you to go to Hell
and neither do we.
we are not talking about losing a game of Monopoly here.....
we are talking about eternity.
