I always hear that God works in mysterious ways. Could my doubts be the will of God?

I don't think that God cares one way or the other. Personally I think that you chose to be an atheist when you made out your plan before you came here for this life. I believe that we live many lives in an effort to educate our souls.

You are not an atheist. They don't exist. The Apostle Paul tells us that everyone is born with the innate knowledge that God exists. Our sin clouds and distorts this, and left unattended may result in convincing oneself that He doesn't exist. Its kind of like a kid trying to completely immerse a big beach ball at the lake - we can continue to try to suppress the truth of God, but it keeps popping back up at us gnawing at our conscience until we become hateful and resentful toward God.

I am not sure of your doubts, but mine used to be based on my own desire to live a self-centered life style apart from God. I didn't want to give or do anything for Him.

Now that I have given my life to Christ, I know that He lives within me.

if god created everything or at least knows everything, then he must know that you exist. If you exist, you must have a purpose. This purpose, religiously speaking, is to oppose a creator(god).
If you come along and question my 'being', are you not questioning the creator, not the 'being.' He allows me to exist for this purpose.

For at least god could do something about my existence. If he can create a flood that wiped out an entire population, then one single individual would be a walk in the park.

I agree with the gorgeous texas woman. God doesn't really give these things a thought. He set up the system to give each soul their "space" and time to decide what they want to do. He gave us all infinite chances to keep coming back to the physical plane and making each life what it is. I agree that we choose what circumstances we will be born into prior to each incarnation ... those circumstances that will best serve us. You chose to be an Atheist and that's okay with God.

I don't know Chong....but if someone believes in a source, it just might be a different interpretation...from what is commonly known as "God". It's a free country you have the right to believe anything you choose actually. Maybe that's just one of the many reasons why it's so cool to live in America.

No, the Bible tells us that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Those feelings are Satan. The way that you worded your ? makes it sound like you still belive in God, the best thing you can do is study the Bible and find a church that is on fire for God. You should feel refreshed and envigorated when you leave church if you don't, then try to find a new one.
God Bless

If God knows everything, then he knew you would be an Atheist before he created you. Shame on the Christians for saying it has something to do with their Satan. Unless Satan and God are the same being............that would make sense.

God is imaginary, and he works in imaginary ways.

The word "mysterious" actually should have been "imaginary" but the Biblical scholars and translators balked at the idea of writing "God works in imaginary ways."

I think you need to just place a little faith in your own eyes .
You're going to rip a whole in the universe merely giving undeserved credit to a non existent entity. Relax and live with it a while and then tell me you didn't make the right decision.

Rom 9:15 For He said to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will pity whomever I will pity." Ex. 33:19
Rom 9:16 So, then, it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of the One showing mercy, of God.
Rom 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very thing I raised you up, so that I might display My power in you, and so that My name might be publicized in all the earth." Ex. 9:16
Rom 9:18 So, then, to whom He desires, He shows mercy. And to whom He desires, He hardens.
Rom 9:19 You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will?
Rom 9:20 Yes, rather, O man, who are you answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? Isa. 29:16
Rom 9:21 Or does not the potter have authority over the clay, out of the one lump to make one vessel to honor, and one to dishonor? Jer. 18:6
Rom 9:22 But if God, desiring to demonstrate His wrath, and to make His power known, endured in much long-suffering vessels of wrath having been fitted out for destruction,
Rom 9:23 and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,
Rom 9:24 whom He also called, not only us, of Jews, but also out of nations.

God is totally sovereign and will do with you and I, whatever He wishes.
