you need to do a lot more exercise than that, 2 minutes of exercise won't have an effect on weight loss...

Yes, it will help. Any exercise will help. However, 20 minutes of walking (or running) will be more effective. Make sure to count calories if you are trying to lose weight. Your body is already burning about 2000 calories a day just by being alive (it uses calories to to fuel your heart, your respiration system, your digestions system, etc.). So just do exercise daily (20 min of walking will burn 150 or so calories, depending on your weight and fitness), and eat 1500 calories a day. That means that you will be cutting 650 calories a day ((2000-1500)+150)=650. 650*7(days)= 4550 calories cut each week. To burn a pound is to cut 3600 calories, so this way you will lose about 1.3 pounds a week.
Don't be distressed if you do this for a week and then get on the scales and weight 1lb more than you did a week ago. After a dinner, your weight will be about 3lbs heavier from the food/fluids, so you may have lose 2lbs in a week, eaten 3lbs for that dinner, and see that you weigh 1lb more! Don't worry, your body fluctuates weight like this... Just stay on a program for a month and you will definetely SEE results (although they are happening all the time if you are cutting calories, just may be difficult to detect).

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

Remember you might also gain a bit. You do build muscle in certain areas while doing jumping jacks.
I am in wrestling and they make us do 300 jumping jacks nonstop. I always feel it in my calves and hamstrings.

Sure. Exercise is better than a diet pill any day. You may want to read this about exercise programs.
