Good question.

What is the opposite of an orange?

What is the opposite of a car?

There is no opposite of life, in the broadest sense of the word (concept). Jesus taught that nothing ever ceases to exist , it simply changes its form and creates a different form of life. And in some cases the same life but in a different location (Heaven?).

However, we do need to use such a term as "death" in order to communicate the idea that as we are, the form we take on this Earth, ceases to exist as it was before (or in a different location)..

I believe that in Heaven we may not be limited to the spoken word. Surely, God and his advanced Science and Technology will be able to grant us Mental Telepathy so that our communications with him and with each other will be more pure.

We Christians (regardless of what we call ourselves) have already tasted the pureness of mental telepathy. It is how we communicate with God in our prayers.

Until that day, we are stuck with such terms as "Life" "Death" and other words that mean different things to different people at different stages of their lives.

death...but even more it could be walking in this life and being dead. There are people you will meet which are walking dead, without hope, without a plan, with no peace, a life without Jesus Christ.
