box cakes usually have
3/4 *or* 1 cup of milk * for a very moist cake use 1/2 regular milk and 1/2 butter milk or sour cream
1/3 cup of veggie oil *or* 1 stick of butter or margarine
2 large eggs or 3 sm/med eggs
mix well & bake 325* or 350* for 30/35 minutes depending on oven, or uintil you stick that toothpick or knife in the center and it comes out clear.

The back of the box of my cake mix here says to add 2/3 cup water, 1 stick (or ½ cup) softened butter, and 3 eggs.

Bake at 375ºF for as little as 15 min. for cupcakes, 23 min for two 9" cake pans, or 28 min for a 9x13" baking pan.

HTH!

Go to the grocery store and look at the box. Write it down on a piece of paper. You didn't mention what cake mix it is. Some require oil, eggs and water.
