Has anyone had ear problems?

I've been sick since Christmas and two weeks ago, my ears started acting up and since then they have been very clogged and I'm unable to hear very well. I've been to the Dr. twice, and he gave me a degungestant, and some ear drops. The ear drops seemd to clog up my ears more. I've been on the degungestant for 3 days and it hasn't done anything. Has anyone else had this, and how long did it last and what did you do to get rid of it?

Once there is fluid in your middle ear it can last a long time (I had it for about 8 months). Keep taking the decongestant, once the tubes that go from your middle ear to your throat are less swollen the fluid will drain out.
