I don't see agnosticism as a "middle ground" between theism and atheism. It has to do with knowledge (gnosis) rather than belief (theism). I don't know if there are gods, and I don't think anyone else knows either.

I'm agnostic for the same reason many people are atheist - I have no proof a God or gods. But the idea of faith and belief intrigue me, and I don't think everything in life has to be logical or rational, so I entertain the possibility.

Good question. Say for example on fire breathing dragons in the forests of europe.

Does not being able to prove it either way mean there is a 50% probability?

I'm angry at agnostics after that recent theist/atheist question!

I believe that there is some vast and powerful love in the universe. I think that we, as humans, are incapable of understanding what this is.

I think that many of us have experienced this love, and in our attempts to "bottle" the love, have invented a great deal of nonsense that we call religion.

I think we do this because if there is anything we humans fear, if there is anything that would make us fully surrender ourselves, it's love.

Love is just too scary.
