I have several suggestions. (1) step on the dogs back feet, when they jump up on some one. (2) get a good size squeezable mustard bottle, clean it out and fill it with a mixture of vinegar and water, when the dog jumps on some one squirt your dog in the eyes and he will stop. Start out with a weak mixture, and increase the mixture until the dog responds. The vinegar will burn the dogs eyes slightly, but will not cause any permanent damage. It will not stain anything it gets on. Also every time you use the bottle tell the dog you are going to get the bottle. I hope this helps.

first zap yourself with the cattle prod and see how you like it. Next give the dog to someone who cares about animals and is willing to train the dog to listen without violence. Would you zap your kids with the cattle Prod if they didn't listen? Dogs are kids in fur coats that walk on four legs.

First, throw away the cattle prod as that is cruel as well as useless since it obviously isn't working.

When your dog jumps on you position your knee so that as the dog jumps its chest hits your knee (do not kick the dog or jam your knee into its chest). At the same time firmly command "down" or "no jump" -- use the exact same phrase each time. After the dog understands what you expect use the same tone of voice and command when you see the dog start to jump on the kids.

Another good idea is to take the dog to obedience training. You will learn good handling techniques.

zap yourself with a cattle prod. is this how you plan on disciplining your children too? put a leash on the dog and tell it no and make it sit. then get off your butt and take the dog to a training class. or better yet, find a home for the dog that won't be abusive to it, and take some parenting classes for yourself.

Sign up for obedience classes - you need to learn how to be a pet owner - then, you will be able to train your pet. Or - go to the library and get some books.
