green tea helps prevent cancer and helps reduce stress

2007-01-28 13:51:05 · answer #1 · answered by jamaica 5 · 0 0

Green tea contains caffeine which is supposed to speed up your heart rate and other metabolic processes - thus using more energy. This increased energy consumption - if not paired with an increased caloric intact can cause a loss of weight in some people. I say "some" because some people are resistant to weight loss and some people are not affected by caffeine in the same way.

Additionally, the weight loss isn't always fat loss. Caffeine is also a diuretic, which causes you to pee out more water. This water loss equals weight loss. Unfortunately, this water weight loss is not usually healthy because water helps the body in so many ways - a large portion of muscle is water. An active muscle uses a lot of energy and water (to keep from overheating).

Green tea is proven to help you lose weight. But you have to consume enough of it for it to take effect. I drink about 3-4 cups a day with no sugar added. It cleanses your system and helps you get rid of impurities so it might make you go. It also boosts your metabolism and gives you energy to work out.

It really does help (assist) in losing weight, but it is a MIRACLE tea by no means. You still must exercise and watch what portions of food you eat.

Forsake ALL unhealthy snacks and drinks and replace with healthy ones.

After reading this I really want to share something because I spent endless years going from diet to diet without acheiving any real results until I saw Pams magic plan (google it). It is without a doubt the most weight loss that I have ever achieved and it is still working to this day.

it has flavour, no calories (if you don't add sugar), and it fills your stomach. It doesn't have as much salt as other drinks or aspertame like diet pop. It won't cause you to lose weight but it's a good substitute for some of the water you need to drink. Mostly it will fill your stomach if your hungry but want to wait until mealtime, that's about it.

It's supposed to be good for you, but it won't cause you to lose weight.

Reduce your own stress. Your stress hormone cortisol might be activated by extremely low-calorie diet programs, intense training, lack of sleep and day-to-day worries, which leads to a spike in glucose levels with your blood. More worryingly, it can give rise to blocked arteries and fat develop around your internal organs, putting you prone to diabetes and heart disease. The sole prescription for this is to… chill out.
