It sounds like to me he just doesn't know how to deal with stress and anger and he is taking it out on you instead of being a man. These are his issues and his problems and in no way are your fault. My suggestion is that he get some help and you set up some healthy boundaries about how you choose to be treated by him and anyone else. Don't let people talk to you that way, disrespect you, or undervalue you. He is the one that is having problems and it is not fair that he is making his problems your problems.
Whether you believe him when he says he is beginning to not care is up to you. If he is feeling that way you two need to work it out. See if this is a temporary feeling he is having because of his own issues or if it's true and he really doesn't care anymore. Either way, this all sums up to be his problem and he needs to go talk to someone about it.

I don't believe your husband means just you, but most everything. When you are frustrated and angry most anything can upset you. Ask him if he can think of a way he would deal with the situation. (hopefully counseling)

NOT really...what he means is he needs you to not bug him when he is angry..so give him some space when he needs it .
