To put an end to religious strife, all religions The monolithic ones, (IE... Christianity, Islam). The multi god ones, (IE... Hinduism, Paganism). The cultish ones (IE...Moonies, scientology), In fact every last one, Shinto’s, shamanism, Zoroaster’s, and so on. And a choice for no religion at all (IE: - ...Atheism, ethical philosophy). Every person over 16 years old would cast 1 vote for the religion of their choice or not to have a religion at all. If one religion gets more than 50% then it becomes the world religion and all others are banned. It would not be compulsory to be religious, but if anyone chose to take up a religion there would only be one choice (a bit like some Islamic countries). If the majority vote was for Atheism then all religions would be banned. If no overall majority was found, the religions polling the lowest vote would be removed from the list and the electelection rerun until we had a winner.
So what do you think that religion would be?

Life would cease as we know it. First many would die in the battles to force you to choose against your will. then many would die fighting those who force others, then many would try to steal the election which would again cause many to die in the uproar and mean while someone would get fed up and nuke everyone.

I'm a Christian but let me tell you what the Bible says. It says that after the Rapture there will be a one world religion. It will embrace all the world faiths and all the pagan ones too. It will have room for everyone but Judaism and Christianity. As a result these 2 groups will be persecuted - but not they won't be persecuted as badly as they will be when Satan and the Antichrist force everyone to take the Mark of the Beast and to worship the Antichrist.
There won't be a vote for this religion and because I read the Bible and believe it, I already know what kind of world religion there will be.

hi, no i don't think they ought to vote for our legislators because our Congress passes regulations that impact the U. S. and would not impact some thing of the international. i fairly believe that we as a rustic were attempting for fairly some a lengthy time period to strengthen the international as an entire and this would propose influencing elections which could be unfair and the dictator would not be perfect for his or her usa or their peoples. enable's seem at it this kind. i'm a white woman. I were molested right here interior the U. S. through a white guy on the concern of me. females in different factors of the country can't tutor their face, vote, bypass everywhere and not using a chum, and are not only molested and violently raped they're dealt with like an animal, extremely animals are dealt with better. So the moral to my tale is i ought to like it if yet another usa got here and erradicated all molestations of youngsters. only as those different females ought to have a good time with being removed from bondage. I wasn't going to get this image yet i ought to. i became molested, no longer gang raped and killed. i did not worry for my life each and every second and that i became properly fed. i ought to come and bypass as I thrilled, I chosen my husband and owned my domicile. i did not have my outter lady factors cut back off with a razor blade to stay away from me from playing sex with someone I loved. In some international places the note Love does no longer exist. the U. S. nonetheless has love operating via its veins so no i do no longer imagine those different international places must be able to vote for our legislators.

You will get lots of answers from the atheists, but I think this is what you want.
Here's a Christian perspective.
Actually the Book of Revelation tells us that the world will NEVER be free from religion. To get your end-all religions day, the anti-christ will set himself up in power over the entire earth and wreak havoc upon all Christians. Problem solved? No...everyone will still have to worship...him!

This is a great question and for some reason I think this might actually take place.
But theres a fundamental flaw in this event.
Religion is a personal matter. And you cant vote for the personal beliefs of another human being.
No matter what you chose as a whole, you would still be considered shoving your own ideas down the throats of those you dont agree with.
Therefore it would be against human rights to do so.
And as the quran obviously says: There is no compulsion in religion.

Reducing matters of faith to politics IS the problem. "religious strife" is due to politics and the greed for power - the willingness of men to use religion as an excuse to do evil. "Voting" on religion would only make matters worse, not better. History illustrates this point, over and over.

Well, it's kinda like Communism, you can ban the act but not the thought of the act. You can't ban Christianity or any other religion. You can only ban the act of gathering together for fellowship, the worship part still remains.

You obviously have never heard the words heresy or schism. Having one religion would only cause MORE strife. This is actually worse than the status quo. Whomever would win would turn into the loser, fast.

I assume atheism would win by a landslide, due to so many people being corrupted by the cult of self.

This is the fundamental problem with democracy; it tends to suggest that popularity is equal to correctness, when in fact it usually means lowest common denominator.

The entire world would lose because we would all be fighting and killing each other off until there was only one religion left and no one would have to vote. BB
