Yes..."life IS worth living with self-sacrifices". This means that we lead a life that it not only focused on ourselves -- we go out to others. We learn to put others first at imes. It means we're disciplined which is great because we're in it (life) for the long-run (the average age expectancy is closing in on 75 years).

Here is how St. Paul disciplines himself with sacrifices:

19Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

24Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

25Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

(1 Cor. 9:19-25)

We have to make sacrifices daily when it comes to our worship, there are so many other things that we could be doing, but what are some of the sacrifices you are personally making in order to enjoy life serving Jehovah? If we didnt sacrifice anything then our worship would almost be a burden because we would be weighed down with things that we can do. And think of the reward that is in store for us all because of the self sacrifices we've made.
I hope this kind of gives you a jump start!!!! You'll do well.

Living a life of Self-Sacrifice is worthwhile.
This is the #3 talk. Feb 12

You would have to think of some of the sacrifices you have made in your life. You could also point out that it wasn't always easy for the apostles.
I wish I could help more.. But it takes me normally about 3 days to come up with a start of my talk... (LOL who new 5 min. could take so long.)

Just wanted to add... Hello to all my brothers and sisters... :>)

Take a look at the first chapter of Phillipians. Paul is in prision and doesn't know if the Romans are going to kill him or not. By a worldly point of view things are pretty messed up in his life (or full of sacrifices). But throughout the first chapter he talks about how he was able to share the Gospel with the Roman Guards and be an example to other Christians. In fact if Paul hadn't spent so much time in prison, we wouldn't have more than half the books in the New Testament (Paul wouldnt have needed to write them because he could have come to them in person).

Life is worth living if God empowers it. Accepting Christ as your savior is the first thing to do and then ask the Holy Ghost to help you live a life pleasing to God. You can't do it on your own.

Just a few pointers that may help;
How about: The rewards that Jehovah gives?
The love you feel for others when you give of yourself?
Honoring Jehovah by your actions and thoughts?
I hope this helps. You are welcome.

Simply put... HARD LABORS!!!

But for a moment, women would be at the top of the list for that topic.

And on second thought, use the money but don't let the money use you... peace.
