Would you be willing to accept the same punishment if YOUR beliefs turned out to be wrong, or would you cry foul? Suppose you died and discovered that the true God was Zeus (for example); would you object if he told you that you must spend eternity in Hades for not believing in him or worshiping him while you were alive? - I'm willing to bet you'd be saying "But it's not FAIR - how did I know you were REAL?", etc, etc... So why is it somehow "fair" when it's someone other than YOU who's receiving such a judgement, hmm...?

OK, it wouldn't be fair. But I don't believe in a hell, the biblical that is. God is not so cruel to punish his children that way. We wouldn't punish our children that way, so why does everyone think that it is just and fair for him to do that to his own creation. But if I did believe in the pits of hell, the way I believe that things will take place is, if one has been a really good person then they will have their chance to believe in the truth or deny the truth, when the truth becomes obvious to all. I believe in the bible. One God, one faith, one religion, but I know not everyone has the truth. The bible tells us of the righteous and the unrighteous being resurrected. The evil doers are different than the unrighteous. But, I believe with all that I am that God is real, and he is a loving God. I believe that the only ones who don't stand a chance are the ones who sin deliberately.

We know it's the truth because we have the Holy Spirit as our Witness, once we accept the Lord Jesus. He is our Guide, and one of the things He does, is keep us from Doctrinal error. That's why I never believe a supposed "Christian" can suddenly slip on a banana peel and decide to become an atheist, or a buddhist or WHATEVER! Once you're TRULY BORN AGAIN, you can NOT be UNBORN. It's simply NOT TRUE. These people were fooling themselves into thinking they were Christians in the first place. They were Sunday morning bench warmers, and nothing more, but they never had the Spirit of God!

I would NEVER wish anyone into hell.

Don't worry, no one will go to a lost eternity without God giving us every chance. No one will be able to cry foul.

There is a day in everyone's life where we chose to say Yes Lord or No Lord.

If you haven't said No Lord yet, then you don't have to worry.

However ,if you have chosen to mock, scorn, lie, cheat ... you may be on a wrong road.

But GOOD NEWS.. you can always choose to start on the right road.

Choose life!

Tell you what. If I get to judgement day and Zeus is sending me to hell, I guess I'm going to hell. What's your point?

You can stand before the judgement throne of God and cry foul all day. God has offered you salvation through His son, Jesus Christ right now. The Bible warns, once you leave this world and stand before him, it's too late.

I believe God has given you fair warning, so yes hell is justified. Read the Bible and see why someone goes to Heaven or to Hell. It's not about "fooled ya, wrong god!" It's about coming to repentance and asking forgiveness.

i did not go with to ascertain by ability of your different solutions because i don't sense in a contented sufficient mood to manage it, so I ask for forgiveness if i'm only repeating what some different person reported. "he's now unlikely to deliver the final public of them to hell for eternity. i imagine He has a a lot more desirable plan for our salvation that only dividing us into 2 communities." As a Latter Day Saint all of us recognize this. it is what the three diverse degrees of heaven are for. all of us recognize that our progression would not end after we die; we've the probability to study, progression, and settle for the gospel after lack of life. In Wilford Woodroof's discourse "The regulation of Adoption", he says "there'll be very few, if any, who received't settle for the Gospel." it is in contrast to there are going to be throngs of those who, after leaving mortality and seeing the actuality of eternity will nonetheless say "Oh, i'm sorry, i do not agree". all of us existed in premortality jointly, and all of us were recent on the conflict in heaven. all of us made the alternative to go back to earth. We were all united in our beliefs, and after we go back after mortal lack of life we are able to again be united. do not forget that we are unlikely to be judged at judgement day on the beliefs we depart mortality with. we are going to be judged when we've had huge possibilities to study, study, and settle for or reject the actuality. Then it should not be Heavenly Father making our judgement; it will be us identifying the position we go with to be and what we believe. interior the end i don't think it will be Heavenly Father sending us to hell, yet us making that determination for our selves. those who settle for the gospel will be divided between the Celestial, Terestial, and Telestial kingdoms of heaven, no longer despatched to outer darkness. "yet there are already those who died in some village someplace in some distant usa that maximum individuals did not even recognize existed. what about them?" D&C 137: 8 also all that shall die henceforth and not using a recognize-how of it, who awould have received it with all their hearts, will be heirs of that kingdom.

I haven't heard the gospel of Zeus. Since there isn't one then there's no fairness to complain about not getting either.

I am with you. Who are we to judge? I have faith that my belief in God and Jesus as his Son is my personal Savior, however, I do not want to condemn anyone else for their belief. I believe that my God wants all souls saved and if I condemn another, it hurts Him. One thing I KNOW - we are not from "the big bang" something caused it and life is so instructional that I know there is more after this one. We'll see....

What I gather is the heart of your question is "What if there is no God? What if the Christians have it wrong?"

I would ask that you consider taking your questions, your curiosity, and give them to Jesus. Do so sincerely. Ask Him your questions and then see what answers come back.
