I asked earlier if i should leave my cold sore alone or pop it. most of you said leave it alone. my question is, its on the verge of popping i can tell. I know it will probably pop when I go to sleep tonight when I toss and turn and put pressure on it. So why not pop it now where I can becareful with it and make sure I dont get it over all. If I let it pop on its own, it will probably leak all over. Doesnt it make sense to pop it carefully on my own so I dont spread it. I remember years back when I had one I popped it and nothing happened. Just tryin to be more careful. Suggestions. Oh and yes I got some abreva I put it on twice today so far. A friend said put peroxide on it or was it rubbin alcohol?

Put yogurt all over it.

leave it on for a minute. Apply again. Wash again - it will be gone it 24 to 48 hours.
Take acidopholus pills - equal to about 1000 cups of yogurt.

This fights the infection that is there, and works everytime!!!

GOD bless us always.

You need prescription medication, I use zovirax you can take it in pill form or as a cream. Another thing that works but not as fast is over the counter L-Lysine, it's an enzyme pill. I have never had a cold sore that needed popping. But I have had ones that have a yellow crust. I know it is good to keep your cold sore clean, I usually get a warm wet piece of tissue paper and gently dampen the crust to try to remove it, or you can moisten it with vaseline to soften it first. Many times this removes that top crust, but you have to be careful or you will have a bleeding cold sore. If it is bugging you, it's your face pop it if you want to. But using the word "pop" makes me wonder if it's really a cold sore?

To be thoroughly straightforward, I examine a piece of writing that led me to attempt an ICE dice. it is it! save on with an ice dice to the sore some cases an afternoon and it is going away. Going even more desirable, in case you modify your weight help plan round somewhat, you received't even get chilly sores anymore. i tried this recommendation some months in the past and it has worked completely.

Apply a warm washcloth to your sore for a few minutes if you want it to pop while you are awake.. this might help it open up now before you go to bed and do that without the irritation of popping it. After the warm washcloth put some neosporin on it. Keep up with the antibacterial ointment until it is gone.

I use Zovirax ointment on mine and they go away pretty quickly. You will need a prescription for it though. I've never had one pop and I wouldn't pop it if I were you.

Both peroxide and rubbing alcohol work, but you should pop it yourself so that it doesn't spread while your sleeping.

Leave it alone, if you mess with it too much you may end up with a scar. I put tea tree oil on them, it helps dry them up faster.
