The original plan was that we were to be friends with God not pets. We kind of blew that and opted for knowledge of good and evil, evil being the downside to that equation.
There is an alternate plan to bring us back to where we were made to be. When we accept it we are referred to as sons of God.
God gave the Devil, angels and humans a freewill, that is why he still happens to be roaming around here. All that will end when all the above that have rebelled against God will no longer be able to be in his presence and will go to the only place that rebellion will be allowed. Watch this video it will give you an idea of what lies ahead.

There is no test from God. There is no devil, that is absurd. We are born because we choose to live a life in search of knowledge. Then most souls cross over after the body dies. Religion is of no importance to God.

That scenerio is bad. But I think there is more going on. Satan doesn't have free reign. For one, we choose whether we will follow Satan's lies or God's truth. I admit that in many respects this world is cruel and I have wondered how God can be loving and allow it to happen. It takes faith to believe in his plan and trust that everything will turn out for the best. I don't think that a few decades on this earth will compare to what awaits us if we trust Christ.
Romans 8:18
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

I find your question and trend of minds to be in line with the thoughts I have in mind about the existence of our being.
Speck of the planet... hmmmnnn... we do toil the lands though.
Soul games... more of genealogy I guess... spiritually inclined humans are more of being a caretaker now of the earth he is trying to destroy out of their individual greed and pride.
Little pets are the twigs trying to be bound for strength is individually lost for their stance for a moment.
Peace...

Maybe.
Except your "theory" is slightly flawed, assuming that you believe it.
Satan doesn't have the upper hand. Why? God created him. And "his little pets". It might be about "winning" people's affections, but I prefer that to God telling me that I HAVE to believe in Him. It makes more sense that He would want us to CHOOSE to love Him rather than be FORCED to love Him.

let's get ready to RUUMMBBLLLEE!!
A psychoanalyst would have a field day with a deity. This particular deity even admits to some of his own seemingly mortal dysfunctions in various passages in the Bible, so it's not like He isn't aware of what a nutjob He is.

This life is not an amusement park exhibit for God. He does not relish our suffering; He seeks to end it and free us.

My goodness, where in the world did you get that interpretation of God? It's totally wild and incorrect, no wonder you're not Christian.
