Strep throat goes away after 3-7 days, and is contagious for up to 48 hours AFTER starting antibiotics. Without antibiotics, she can be contagious for 2-3 weeks, even if the symptoms go away.

Strep usually last a long time. Kissing on the lips would be fine for now, just not one of those passionate one. 3 weeks in my suggestion, I know thats a long time Good Luck
