its an ongoing argument. theists say there is, atheists say there is not, and agnostics are on the fence waiting to find out.
atheist point out there is no proof for god, theists point out there is no way to disprove god.
in the end considering the state of the world and atrocities by fanatical followers thinking its in god's name, there are several possibilities; god doesn't care, he just wants to see what we do, he's on vacation and forgotten about us, or he does not exist.

There is such god. There have been Many countless numbers of miracles. My Church pastor has been traveling with his group preaching and helping. He went to an old indian area and there was a baby crying everyday non stop. They all prayed for that child and the animals there were going crazy. The baby stopped shortly after and so did the animals. Another was when a lady whos legs were different lengths came to them and they all prayed for her. And right in front of 100s of people one of her legs started to grow out. God is real and once you start to believe in him is when you will see the rewards. Those of you who say there is no god is becuase you never gave him a chance. Im not saying christianity is the best but just saying personally that there is a god.

If you really want to know if there is a God just ask - say "God if you are real, show yourself to me." I believe that He will show Himself to you. I know what I believe as far as God but you are the one that has to experience it for yourself.
As far as God is concerned - everyone asks a similar question at one time or another which is "why would God let people die, there be diseases, babies be abused..." and so forth.
In a sense - if we lived in a perfect world, why would we need God? There would be no reason to even seek Him if everything was in order. Why would we even ponder such things?
I hope this helps - it still comes down to what you can experience with God - noone can do that for you. I do know that if you ask Him to reveal Himself to you then He will.
The other stuff (i.e. seeing why we need a God and undestanding the world) comes later.
I wish you the best on your journey.

If this helps any, I think that there is something out there, I am just not sure what it is. I think that if you have faith that there is something greater than you out there life has a little more meaning. As for life being a living hell, well I think it is those people who do not have faith in anything that make them evil and do evil things. Think about the good things that are around you, sometimes it is hard to find them, but there is usually one or two, whether it just be a beautiful sunset or sunrise, or seeing people laughing around you, there still are many good things out there for people to just look and find.

For those who become true believers, Children of God, life is not like that because having faith, having God in their lives changes everything. It is because so many people don't have faith, don't have God that their lives are a living hell and the world is full of ignorance and evil.

only God is attentive to if we've committed an unforgivable sin (Romans 14:12) as reported in the Bible (Matt. 12:31, 32; Mark 3:28, 29; Luke 12:10). "Blasphemy against the spirit" comes from an exceptionally depraved heart (Hebrews 3:12) it is purposely and willfully attempting to oppose God's holy spirit. To willfully oppose God's holy spirit we'd ought to have a correct information of the actuality of God's be conscious as shown by skill of the apostle Paul who grew to become into shown mercy via fact he blasphemed until eventually now he got here to be attentive to the actuality (a million Ti a million:13; Hebrews 6:4-6; Hebrews 10:26).

I got GOOD news and BAD news for you.

There is a God. He does exist and created everything. He gave man free-will. The world is messed up because of this - the evil of what man does is called sin. And once you sin once, you can't stop - you'll just keep getting worse and worse. Here's the BAD news - everyone who sins goes to Hell. I can prove it. Please don't take offense because (if you stick with what I'm gonna say you'll find the best answer to the question). The GOOD news is in the reference link following this Yahoo Answer.

Dear Candy Pickle,

The answer to your question is because so many people live outside of how God wants them to live.

When God created Adam and Eve he had them in the Garden of Eden which was a perfect paradise that was without sin, death, etc.

Sin entered the world and this is why God sent his son Jesus Christ to save men from their sins. God's heart has always been for us to have a close relationship with Him (to enjoy God) and enjoy everything that He has created. Man has taken many of the things of God and changed them and this is why there is so many things in the world that are not similar to the things the Lord has created and designed.

i think your question is very broad- and i hope i've sufficiently answered it. Feel free to emai me with any other questions you might have- nicksterlee@yahoo.com

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

you live in a world full of people who were born with a sinful nature.
it is somewhat natural, given their nature, that they act the way they do.
soon, God will change that.
it is important that you be on God's side.
God loves you.
He dearly wants to save you and spend an eternity with you.
Here's what you should know:
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

If you are religious it sounds as if you're having a crisis of faith and you should speak to whom ever it is you seek spiritual guidance from. they can talk you through this or at least walk the path with oyu for awhile.
In answer to your 2nd question: god gave us free will. this allows us to make mistakes, to make the choice between doing good or evil.
perhaps, you need to look at what is making your life hell and finding a way to change it.
