at midnight 2nite.. and im going to pick him up, i was wondering are they going to ask me for an ID to run in the system? he will be released from elmwood correctional in milpitas, ca any help please!

He will likely be released into a public area where you can simply pick him up. Bring an ID since you will be operating a car. Prison authorities have the right to ID you and search your car, purse, person and everything else just by you entering the grounds of the prison. Make sure there is nothing illegal in your car since you could be subject to this search.

They usually just release them, he will walk out the front doors. I would take ID just to be on the safe side.

They will not only ask for an ID, they will copy it, make a record
of what he was picked up in ( model,plates) plus they will run a
background check to see if you have any warrants,traffic tickets
etc. etc.etc

im in west virginia and ive picked up 2 brothers several times and have never showed id.. i didnt even have to go in..when they were released all they needed was a ride and it didnt matter from who..

If you wait outside the facility no. If you go in and wait yes they will and they will run your license/name/ssn and so forth to see if you have warrants out for you. Why are you worried about this, are you wanted to?
